When he was little, Syaoran was abandoned and completely alone. Adopted by a kind man named Fujitaka, he followed in his father's love of archeology and history. Moving around a lot for his father's research, he visited the Kingdom of Clow where he fell in love with Sakura-hime. He never confessed to this day. A year later, Fujitaka passed away while working on an archeological dig. Devasting as it is for a child, Syaoran picked up the pieces but never forgot about his father.

Upon receiving his Hogwarts letter, Syaoran was confused. His father didn't have any magic but then again, Fujitaka wasn't his real father. Assuming that this magical heritage was passed down through by his "parents," he accepted it and attends Hogwarts now.

Syaoran isn't very open about his life in general. He doesn't divulge information that he believes isn't necessary for others to know such as his father's death, his unknown lineage, or his blindness in his right eye.
